Our client had a brilliant vision for this project: "Transform our 'family friendly' alfresco to echo a luxurious modern resort."

We eagerly set about making this vision a reality, reimagining the poolside and alfresco space from a fully tiled, aging area to one that seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with playful contrasts.

By retaining some of the original grey tiling and introducing rich Merbau hardwood timber, the result is visually compelling and highly functional.

The new design pays tribute to the natural surroundings, with hints of marble tile lined with warm timber, complemented by the blue hues of the pool, creating an outdoor living area that feels like a modern Australian artistic installation.

To cultivate this look, our team used natural Merbau timber with an Intergrain Ultradeck coating to protect it from water and sun damage.

Annual maintenance with recoating will be required to maintain its rich gloss and preserve the deck from external damage.
